FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common queries about our fabrication and erection services.

What can be fabricated and erected?

Structural steel, platforms, staircases, supports, chutes, hoppers, ducts, pipe racks and similar plant components, as defined in the agreed scope.

Do you work from client drawings?

Yes. Fabrication follows approved drawings. Where shop drawings are needed, the responsibility for preparing and approving them should be agreed in advance.

Who supplies the steel and consumables?

This depends on the contract. Supply can be in MME’s scope or the client’s; materials, grades, testing and exclusions should be agreed in advance.

How is weld quality controlled?

Welding follows approved procedures and the project specification, with visual inspection and NDT or other tests where the specification requires.

Can you quote from drawings or a BOQ?

Drawings and a BOQ help define the scope. A quotation also requires clarity on material supply, tonnage, site access, painting, testing, schedule and contract boundaries.
